FAQ about the freelance English copywriter in Hong KongDo you accept briefs from agencies? Not usually. I have an exclusive relationship with one agency. I normally only accept work from clients direct... But there's no harm in asking, especially if you operate outside Hong Kong. What do you charge? That depends entirely on the job. Copywriting work usually attracts higher costs than editing or reporting work though because experienced copywriters are harder to find. Can you meet my deadline? I'm fast. Very fast. But more time almost always means better quality. Tell me your timing and I'll tell you what to expect. What sort of stuff have you written copy about? Let's see, lots of technology, tourism, real estate, financial services and logistics. Mostly B2B but a fair bit of B2C too. How many revisions will you do? My quote includes as many revisions as it takes. However if your brief changes, I may have to change the quotation. Are you a journalist? Strictly speaking, no. But I have written many feature articles, and may accept an assignment from time to time. Do you do proofreading? The work I do for you will be pretty well proofed before you get it. I'm not a proofreader myself, but I can help you out there if necessary. What hours do you work? I'm in Hong Kong, a timezone about 12 hours ahead of New York and eight hours ahead of London. Why work all night to meet some crazy deadline when I could do it? Do you write English English or American English? I'm comfortable working in either. Can you help me with my marketing/advertising strategy? Sure. I've worked on numerous communications strategies at the highest corporate level. How can I get started? First you tell me a little about what you want. I'll ask you a few questions and give you a price and delivery time. If you're a first time customer I will require a deposit. The amount depends on where you are located. Get in touch now with the English copywriter in HK now if you like. |
